Amani Jabril

Amani strives to nourish a deeper connection to the creative and cultural source of the dance by studying and writing on dance and culture. It is her deeper knowledge of culture, particularly those of the Near East, that give her the unique ability to project the personalities of the people and cultures which she represents in her dance.

In addition to seminar instruction, she has lent her knowledge of dance at Georgia State University (Atlanta, GA) and was proud to be invited to present a talk at the Second International Conference on Middle Eastern Dance (Costa Mesa, CA) as well as being part of the Judges Panel at the MEDINA Dance Competition and Workshop (St. Louis, MO).

Amani has enjoyed dancing for such notable people as Ted Turner, Jane Fonda, P-Diddy, Ambassador Andrew Young, Ambassador Aziz Mekouar (Morocco), Charles Barkley, Dan Reeves, the Atlanta Falcons as well as for members of the Moroccan consulate(NY). She has also appeared on CNN International, Atlanta's Persian TV, Atlanta Magazine, Newcomer Magazine, Jezebel Magazine, Zaghreet and Treasures from the Harem Middle Eastern Dance Magazines.
